Jim's Software
Here's what's here:
- Aliases2cdbm is a utility for
converting mail aliases from the format used in /etc/aliases
into input suitable for cdbmake.
Aliases2cdbm is intended for use with the exim MTA (mail transport agent) by
Philip Hazel, but may work with other MTAs as well.
- Hostinfo is a utility for looking
up hostnames and IP(v4) addresses. Hostinfo uses the
gethostbyname(3) and getaddrbyname(3) function calls,
which means it tells you what your operating system thinks rather than
simply telling you what you already know your DNS server says.
Hostinfo provides options for displaying IP addresses in hexadecimal
and octal as well as in decimal dotted-quad notation.
- Lwpp is a lightweight text
file preprocessor, similar (shockingly) in some ways to the C
preprocessor.
- rpm2tar is a utility for
converting the files contained in a binary RPM package into a gzipped
tar archive.
- x11-ssh-askpass
is an open source, lightweight passphrase dialog for OpenSSH or other SSH variants.
