Welcome, Jack Kaspar!

On Monday, November 27, 2006, at 10:54 in the morning, US Pacific Time, Felicia and I welcomed into the world our newest family member: Jack Kaspar Burzell-Knoble. At a hefty 8 pounds, 15.2 ounces and 21 inches long, Jack is a not-so-small boy with a not-so-small name. (For our friends outside the US, Jack weighs in at 4.06 kg and measures 53.3 cm long).

Felicia and Jack are both happy and healthy. Felicia is pooped, and Jack is pooping.

And needless to say (but well worth repeating), we are so very, very happy that Jack has joined us!

[1024x768, ~70k ea.] Jack says, "This here is my Mama!" Jack is the world's most beautiful little human being (though we admit to having a biased opinion on the subject...). Jack's weigh-in ... ... and, for our friends with sensible measurement systems, the metric version. Felicia and Jack spend some time bonding. I think they're both rather enthralled with each other. The way they look at each other is one of the most wondrous sights to me. Jack spends some time sacked out with Aunt Jean, a.k.a. "Me-maw". As the adrenaline wears off, Papa Jim gets the traditional deer-in-headlights look. Today we celebrated Jack's Birth-Day ... the wellspring from which all other birthdays flow.
