The Columbia River

The Columbia River forms part of the border between Oregon and the state of Washington. It's home to wine, waterfalls, state parks, scenic beauty, and, according to some, some of the best windsurfing in the world.

The last time I visited the Columbia River was 18 years ago, on a trip to Oregon and Northern California just after i graduated from high school (thanks, John!). Of course, Felicia's been there a bit more recently, since she used to live in Portland.

[View of the Columbia River] On this trip, we only drove through the Columbia River Gorge on our way from the coast to Hood River, for camping and hiking in the area around Mt. Hood. No worries, though ... we'll have plenty of opportunities to visit once we move to Portland.
